Practical Tips for Puffin Watching in Iceland
- 1Check current operating dates and availability directly; the broad May to August season does not prove that every provider runs on your dates.
- 2Match clothing and footwear to the destination forecast, exposure time, and operator guidance rather than relying on a generic polar kit.
- 3Confirm pickup point, duration, group size, equipment, physical requirements, and cancellation terms before paying.
- 4Check whether your travel insurance covers this specific activity, destination, and cancellation scenario.
- 5Compare the activity itself with the wider Iceland itinerary; a suitable base is not automatically the best tour or provider.
