CityHub Reykjavík delivers exactly what it promises: modern, efficient, and thoughtfully designed, right in the city center. You’re steps away from shopping, cafés, restaurants, and bus stops—so logistically, it’s a very smart base. If you’re done with bunk beds or capsule hotels but still want something minimal, stylish, and budget-friendly, this is a strong pick. The design is clean and contemporary without trying too hard, and everything just works. The hot tub—open from 9:00 AM to 10:30 PM—is a real value add. You can drop in anytime and decompress, which honestly makes a difference after cold Reykjavík days. The kitchen setup is basic (microwave only), so no cooking—but it’s manageable. Grab ready-to-eat meals from the supermarket and warm them up. Problem solved. There’s also a self-service bar with tea, coffee, and alcohol, which adds to the convenience factor. You can also hang out in the lobby or communal areas, which are comfortable and well-designed—perfect for chilling, working, or casually meeting other travelers. The shared bathrooms are well-maintained and provide free amenities, including shampoo, shower gel, and body lotion—and they’re Rituals, which is a genuinely nice bonus and feels unexpectedly premium for this price point. Operations-wise, everything is modern and efficient. The reception team is genuinely helpful and friendly—special shout-out to Storm for great recommendations and going the extra mile.

Me and my partner stayed here for a week and had an absolutely great time. The beds were massive and the facilities were always clean! All of the hosts were always very helpful with any of our needs or questions. By far the best hotel we have stayed at on any of our travels!

This is one of the coziest, friendliest accommodations I’ve ever stayed in! I am a middle-aged woman with back issues and walking issues so the host gave me a ground floor pod near the entrance. I picked a top bunk and loved it! The pod was perfect for me and the bed so comfortable. The accommodation was quiet and peaceful. The bus stop is conveniently located within the block and lovely coffee shops just around the corner. The Hangout was great! I joined some folks from Singapore in a game of Settlers of Catan one night! Bathrooms were clean and cozy. Finally, the hosts were phenomenal! They were all super friendly and helpful. I recommend this place to anyone staying in Reykjavík, and plan on staying in the Copenhagen CityHub when I travel to Denmark next year. Thank you!
