Polar Travel in June
June is the heart of midnight sun season — the Arctic is bathed in 24-hour golden light. No aurora in the north, but the landscape compensation is extraordinary. In the south, winter deepens: southern lights become increasingly active from Ushuaia, Hobart, and Stewart Island. Antarctic expedition season is over — this is deep winter at the pole.
