Café Huskies is one of those places that instantly makes you feel at ease. The environment is cozy and thoughtfully arranged, with plenty of seating, shelves of books to browse through, and small souvenirs to take home — I ended up buying a fridge magnet as a keepsake. Before entering, you’re asked to remove your shoes, which adds to the homely atmosphere. There’s also a clearly displayed list of dos and don’ts near the entrance — definitely worth reading before stepping inside. The staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming, both the waiter and waitress making the experience relaxed and pleasant. The coffee was skillfully made and enjoyable, perfect for warming up in Longyearbyen’s climate. As for the huskies, they were calmly resting when I arrived. I’ll admit I was a little nervous at first since I wasn’t sure how to approach them, but once I felt comfortable, I gently brushed their fur — a simple yet memorable moment that made the visit even more special. The café is very clean, including the bathroom, which is always appreciated. Overall, Café Huskies offers a unique, cozy experience that combines good coffee, warmth, and gentle encounters with their resident huskies. A lovely place to slow down and enjoy the moment in Longyearbyen.

This is a cafe, with free roaming huskies inside. The cafe itself isn't very big, so space is limited. There were three dogs inside on my visit. Crucial rules displayed on entry, and shoes off required. The cakes were especially nice, and the dogs were very friendly. Definitely worth a visit.

Very high-quality coffee.
The staff is very friendly.
The dogs are very docile and beautiful; they create the atmosphere.
In the café, there are interesting books, some for sale.
