Hidden Valley Bed & Breakfast

Spent a very enjoyable week in late August at this wonderful B&B. The staff & owner were very friendly & accommodating. Beautiful property in a rugged mountainous setting & convenient base from which to tour most of southern Yukon. Close enough to Whitehorse to enjoy a night out but far enough away for serenity. They serve a fine hearty breakfast. The nearby wildlife preserve is a must-see! This was everything we were looking for in our first visit to the territory.

I stayed at the Hidden Valley Bed and Breakfast while driving the ALCAN alone from Seattle, WA to Fairbanks, AK over the course of three days. Driving 11-15 hours a day, I really needed places I could arrive late, leave early, and not disturb anyone in the process of doing so. That said, there aren't that many places to stay between my starting and end points, and I wanted my last night on the road to be a nice one. I arrived at Hidden Valley around 10/11pm, and to my embarassment, the owners had stayed up to welcome me. After a brief conversation and making my apologies, I crept into a very comfortable bed, rose at 5am the next day, took a shower in a clean, nicely decorated and maintained bathroom, and left with the prepackaged breakfast that they had prepared for me the day before, having not seen or heard another guest. I relay all of this to say that despite the unorthodox way which I interacted with the staff and owners, they did a great job accomodating me anyway, and as a result, I had a nice last night on an otherwise pretty grueling trip. I am sure that if you want to visit for a normal vacation bed and breakfast experience, it would be lovely and you would be very well taken care of.

Beautiful bed and breakfast. The home is gorgeous—beautifully decorated and exceptional artwork all around. Very clean and cozy. Fabulous views from extensive outdoor decks. Near the city but far enough out to have peace and quiet. Excellent breakfast!
