This STF property has everything you need for the family holiday. The location is great! Access to hiking trails, information about the area, restaurants, activities, sky station, etc. is extremely convenient. There were quiet spaces like a library for those wanting some relaxation. The lunch menu at the restaurant was delicious on one day but we didn’t like options / taste on the second day. The Bistro can do better - we ordered a margarita pizza and it was quite disappointing. Fries were great though. I would highly recommend this property.

This is a great place for aurora seekers, beautiful, clean, staff super friendly, helpful, a lovely kitchen, beautiful location, you can see the auroras from your window, a lot of tours there, a restaurant and a gift shop very well itemized. Definitely a “TO STAY” place if you’re in Abisko, good prices vs quality. I was there for 4 days and really loved it… you don’t want to leave the place. There are also trails already created for you to go and walk everywhere.

We were booked into a standard double room by our Northern Lights tours company, Lights Over Lapland. In addition to having hotel rooms, there is a hostel. This property is run by the Swedish government since it is inside the Abisko National Park. It is very nice and clean. Our room was large and comfortable with a nice view of the lake and mountains. There are lots of little seating areas in the main lodge with views out the windows, but the best view is from the dining room. The entire wall facing the lake is windows. There's a cozy fireplace, library and sitting room. We did not use the sauna, but it looked clean and nice. Definitely a place to unplug and relax. A breakfast buffet came with our room and it was very good. The main restaurant was not open for dinner as it was low season, but they did provide the lunch buffet, which was excellent, and a limited dinner menu of pizza, burgers and a salad. Surprisingly, that menu was quite good. Our only complaint was that reception wasn't always open during the day in case we had a question. We took many hikes in the Park from the lodge, which were scenic and not overly strenuous. We even saw the Northern Lights 2 nights right outside the door!
