First time visitor on Friday and it won't be my last. The food was excellent, the service was great. The waiting staff go out of their way to make you comfortable when dining. And the pricing is amazing for what you get

Had dinner here while travelling to Shetland last week. Food was really good, fresh and tasty, decent portion. Good service, they’re accommodating and willing to explain our questions about the menu. We were happy with our first day dinner.

As a solo visitor to Lerwick on business, the Saffron was recommended to me, and it didn't disappoint! The food is first class! The best chicken balti I've tasted in years! The atmosphere is relaxed and conducive to fully enjoying your meal. When I entered I was pleased to see three other lone diners. I would have given the service 5 stars were it not for the fact that I stood waiting for a while. When a waiter finally noticed me I asked for a table for one. The waiter looked at me as if he wanted me to elaborate! Filling the silence, I asked if I should just sit anywhere. He replied "No, no! We've got bookings" and looked harassed as he moved a single table away from a collection of other tables. Had this happened nearer home I would have turned on my heels and gone elsewhere. But I'm so glad I didn't! From that moment on everything was perfect. I would definitely return.
