Beautiful hotel, hidden gem! We arrived late and were instantly offered a free upgrade and were told if we wanted anything from the kitchen they would find us something to eat. Large room, huge comfy bed, comfy chair. Lovely spacious bathroom with gorgeous bath, seperate shower. Hotel great character and immaculate, staff friendly. View of waterfall added extra charm. Definitely will return.

My husband and I were gifted a surprise one night stay at Forss House Hotel late last month. What a beautiful venue, our room overlooked the lovely waterfall, and our walk along the Forss River to the sea was an unexpected pleasure. A highlight was the dinner, so beautifully presented and delectable. In fact we were not rushed so could really savour each course. The staff were friendly and helpful and made us feel at home. I hope to be back when I next visit Scotland.

Fabulous stay. Stunning, peaceful location and a true gem of a place with bits of local history in the building with plenty of historic grandeur. The bed was literally one of the comfiest I have experienced. Amazing whiskey selection and ideal for anyone working at Dounreay as it's a five minute drive.
