Didn’t have high expectations as I managed to get a booking 30 minutes before dinner but we were pleasantly surprised! The meal was excellent! The oysters were fresh and creamy and the ribeye was on point. The hand made spaghetti was chewy and the bolognese sauce was not too heavy. Most of all, our server Malaya was pleasant and attentive and got us a table which overlooked the lake. Highly recommended!

We had a really great meal at Public Italian Kitchen. We ordered the Provolone Fritto, garlic bread, Gnocchi Fresh Ricotta, and a kids’ pasta, and everything was excellent. They have very few vegetarian options, but everything we tried was absolutely delicious. The gnocchi was the clear standout — soft, fresh, and full of flavour. Honestly, it’s the best gnocchi I’ve ever had. Even the kids’ pasta was done well and enjoyed. Overall, top-quality food and well worth a visit if you’re in Queenstown.

Had a great meal at Public Italian Kitchen. Tried 3 pastas and they were all great. The flavours are quite strong but fairly expected for a restaurant. Good vibes near the water and service was great and friendly. It is definitely quite pricey but overall I was quite satisfied!
