Booked a shared bathroom double room but the owner was so kind to upgrade us to a private bathroom upon arrival. We stayed in room 106. She was very kind and greeted me upon arrival. The room was a lot larger than expected with an amazing sunrise view over the ocean! We only stayed here one night before the drive east but had a very comfortable night here. Bed was huge, shower was hot and the view was great. The place provided conditioner and body wash. There is a shared common area (similar to a hostel) that has a small kitchen and eating area that is free for use for all residents. It was quite busy in there when we checked it out. Breakfast is NOT included. You will have to preorder breakfast for a fee. The sign in the room is a little misleading. This wasn’t an issue though for us. Would definitely stay once more if we stop in Vik again.

We ended up booking a room pretty last minute online as we had a change of plans during our trip in Iceland. Because of how last minute it was, there was a bit of confusion at the guesthouse with the room, but they were very helpful and got everything sorted out for us right away. The house itself is lovely, and the breakfast in the morning was very nice. I would stay again in a heartbeat.

I loved this spot! I made a last minute reservation and due to a technical difficulty, the room I booked actually wasn’t available. The manager on duty was very apologetic and luckily, they had one room left that was perfect for one and they offered to refund me the difference. The manager was also kind enough to go around letting everyone know that there was an aurora outside and the location of the guesthouse was perfect for viewing! They had a delicious breakfast in the morning with homemade bread and a variety of options. Yes the bathroom is shared but there’s a few on each floor and I never really had to wait.
