We had such a nice experience! We booked the last show of the day, and it was really interesting—especially when you open your mind a bit and accept that it’s not only about the lava show, but also about the history of Iceland and all the fascinating information they share. We had a great day, and this was our last activity—a perfect finishing touch to our day trip.

We had a great time at the lava show. It was very informative so we learned a lot about Icelands volcanoes and lava, and the show it itself was fun and exciting. Shout out to Luis who was a great host! So knowledgeable. We also liked that the Vik show was quite small so you got really close to everything. I can also recommend the behind the scenes experience. It was interesting to see how it all worked. The restaurant also serves great soup! Where you get a second serving so you can try more than one soup.

The Icelandic Lava Show in Vík was one of the most unforgettable experiences of our Iceland trip. It’s not just a demonstration — you actually see real molten lava up close in a safe, controlled environment, and the heat, sounds, and visuals are something you’ll remember forever.  Our host, Luis (or Louis) from Spain, made the entire show both educational and engaging. He clearly knows his stuff, answered questions thoughtfully, and added personal stories that brought the science of volcanoes and lava to life.  Highlights for us: • Seeing real red-hot lava flow, cool, and even touch it (with safety goggles on) — so surreal.  • The mix of geology facts and interactive Q&A made it fun for adults and curious kids alike.  • Luis’s friendly, informative style added real warmth to the experience. Whether you’re a geology geek or just want something totally different to do in Iceland, this was worth every minute and more. Highly recommend! 🌋🔥
