Was a nice and comfortable stay. All the facilities had a great view of the lake and surrounding area. The room itself was well furnished and comfortable. We got our own mini deck as well that opened out toward the lake. Was a warm a sunny day when we arrived. No hot springs, but has a cool sauna on the 3rd floor. The sauna itself has a window looking out over the lake, along with a balcony and some comfortable seating from which to enjoy the view after a heat session. This sauna was awesome and got super hot. The restaurant was classy. Probably the most luxurious part of the facilities. Large windows overlook the lake, and the quality of the food was excellent. Super fresh and delicious. We only stayed 1 night but felt well rested the next day.

This is my second time visiting Fosshótel Mývatn and I could not recommend it more. Services, food and drinks are all top notch. The rooms are immaculate. There is an incredible sauna on the third floor that you can access until 10pm and the happy hour deals at the hotel bar are an excellent deal.

Fosshotel was, by far, the nicest hotel I stayed in during my 10 day trip in Iceland. Rooms are spacious and modern. Views are spectacular, even from the sauna on the 3th floor. I highly recommend reserving a window table at the restaurant, the view is extraordinary. The lamb and steak were exquisite. Service = perfect.
