We, an international couple, celebrated our wedding in Tórshavn. At Bitin we gathered our guests before walking together to the town hall. We ordered a selection of sandwiches up front (estimating 2 per person) and drinks to be ordered on the spot. We had the full upstairs area with the sunny terrace. Everybody loved the sandwiches and the setting. I wouldn't have changed a thing - except for eat a second sandwich, but I was too excited to eat on the day ☺️

We just wanted to experience what locals usually eat. We didn’t expect these small things to fill us up so quickly. This is not typical for us Asians, we definitely still prefer rice, but really great to experience.

Unfortunately, I arrived to Torshavn on the weekend and Bitin was closed. However, they were open on Monday & well worth the wait. I had the Fillet of Haddock, Chips & Lemonade. The Chips were fried perfectly & the Haddock was a local delight. The Lemonade was different than any Lemonade that I had prior, but was very tasty & refreshing. I will definitely be coming back to Bitin when I return to Torshavn!
