Great Aurora experience we had. Our party of 7 just returned home from Northern Sky Lodge yesterday. This was a third stay within 7 years. Northern Lights were just beautiful. Thanks to the location of the lodge, we have not been bothered by any lights. It's a perfect location. The lodge itself is well cleaned and the service is always friendly you can stay very comfortable! We look forward to coming back again next year!

Had a great time. It’s very comfortable and the managers are extremely kind and fast to help; if you contact them for anything they respond right away and are very understanding! The view outside is beautiful and so are the rooms. It’s about 40 minutes away from Fairbanks, so if you need to uber you should keep in mind to schedule it in advance or you may not get one because of the seclusion. There’s also not much else nearby at all but that wasn’t a problem for me. We could see every star in the sky, and saw the aurora with completely clear skies for at least three nights, even in December. My only concern whatsoever about the lodge is the water. It has a very strong metallic smell (I’m assuming high iron) that we noticed as soon as we turned the sink on. At least in our room, the sink, toilet and shower all had a yellow staining where water sits, assumedly because of the iron. Also, if you boil it a yellowish foam appears on the top? However, iron itself in water isn’t harmful, and I wasn’t super bothered by it at all, the smell is just unpleasant.. I’m not sure there’s anything the managers can do about the water so I’m not blaming them, and it’s not like it’s unsafe which was my main worry. No problem. Overall, a very nice place, and definitely worth it. Thank you for your hospitality and keep up the good work!

Staying at the lodge was one of the highlights of my trip! Rex and his family take such great care of the property and make you feel right at home. The lodge offers a genuine log cabin experience, complete with a lovely trail for a short, peaceful walk. One of the most unforgettable moments was getting to see the aurora right from the property on the last night of my stay — truly magical! I really enjoyed my time here and want to thank Rex and his family for their wonderful hospitality. I hope to come back again in the future!
