Fantastic place to stay. All the staff are friendly and helpful, we were very well looked after. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated. A fantastic weekend spent in beautiful surroundings.

The room was more than adequate with fantastic facilities, it wasn't basic by any means. My package was all inclusive so all meals were provided for - on the couple of occasions we were outside of the Lodge during lunch time (snowmobile tour) and one evening (remote lodge reached by sledge towed snowmobile) the meals were equally superb and cooked over an open fire with great portions and supplies easily for seconds for everyone. NB we were given a welcome beverage of either glass of wine or Swedish, locally produced, beer. The beer was fab! Every subsequent drink at the lodge is paid for in addition and logged on an honesty basis where you mark what you've taken by room number and name - but this is expected anywhere and the selection choice is plentiful. The location is remote (about 40 mins from Lulea airport) and the quiet is almost deafening when outside - bliss! The sauna is brilliant and has a neighbouring room for nibbles/drinks and has windows for watching the aurora lest it appeared - unfortunately it didn't on my visit! The Sauna is literally a 20 second walk away, on site, down a small flight of stairs - be careful if icy, there's a handrail! Oh and ask the host on duty for sauna 45 mins approx before needing it as it obviously takes time to warm up! :) The hosts and all who worked there were very friendly and fun, only too happy to help with any request - the sea from the Baltic actually flowed quite substantially prior to our stay and there was lots of snowfall, so the surrounding areas were actually warmed up by the insulating snow - this made our itinerary change somewhat but we were catered for perfectly - there were only 6 of us in total and yet i believe the holiday was for a maximum of 16 in the lodge. There's a massive open fire in the communal room and you can come and go as you please - there's a really lovely, welcoming atmosphere consistently which adds to the charm. There are activities during the week - dog sledding, snowmobiling, ice fishing and snowshoe walking/sledding - but this'll be featured in your chosen holiday providers blurb - I went with Trailfinders/Exodus - for a week's holiday.

Hands down one of the nicest places we ever stayed. Excellent food and fantastic service!
