You visit Hoy for 3 experiences : Old man of Hoy, Cantick head lighthouse & Emily’s. We had Emily’s twice. Since we were staying at Cantick Head Lighthouse, we booked Emily’s for dinner as soon as she opened on Tuesday. Emily was gracious enough to listen to our dietary requirements and made sure we were served in the best way possible. We all loved our food so much that we already knew where we were having lunch the next day (since she has different menus for lunch and dinner). After our hike at the old man of Hoy, we made it just in time for lunch. She was again gracious enough to accommodate us past her closing time. Now talking about food; one of the best culinary experiences we had in our trip. She uses all local ingredients and this reflects in the quality of food. Everything we ate was super delicious, so much that we rated it above our experience at one of the double Michelin stars restaurant we experienced couple of days before in mainland Scotland. We can’t recommend Emily and her food enough. Oh and she also serves speciality coffee, that actually tastes great ☕️ Plan your trip to Hoy around her food, as it’s one of the best you will experience 😋

Absolutely wonderful lunch. Tempted through 3 courses by skilled owner/chef and delightful "bottle washer"! Highly recommend the location, ambiance and food. Well worth the money.

Really lovely to be able to go to one of Emily's special evening meals. Transformed from it's daytime look to a more sophisticated evening vibe. You have to like fish by the way! A imaginative menu which was well presented and tasted wonderful. We both had the Crab starter, then the Lemon Sole and the Haddock for mains, finishing with Cherry Pavlova and the Profiteroles. The view across the water is beautiful too. The menu is in the photos. Highly recommended.
