This lodge provides a snowshoe excursion in Narvik. Guide John met us for a short bus ride and then walk to a staging area where we put on our snowshoes with instructions from three guides. There were about 20 in the tour. Keekee led from the front, John in the middle, and Bjorn in the back. All the guides are excellent. John was the leader and regaled us with stories and the history of the area. Keekee led the line and also told stories. Bjorn regaled us with a song. I can't stress enough how the guides made this a great experience. We were all made to feel safe being in no rush. Keekee stopped at appropriate times to be sure the group stayed together. I would say that I was hoping for a snack to come out of one of those backpacks the guides were carrying. You might want to bring one if you go. Highly recommend Narvik Mountain Lodge.

We were picked up in a kind of mini bus and drove up the mountain to arrive at the lodge. We were greeted with hot black-current juice, which was very much the need of the hour since weather outside was quite chilly. The lodge is a fabulous property. Grand furniture and excellent interior. The first floor was having a large balcony, which offered us the night view of entire Narvik, it was beautiful. We had dinner in the lodge that was quite elaborate. Sami vegetables were very tasty. Desert was tasty too. We were waiting in the veranda or the balcony upstairs to see the northern lights; however the sky was full of clouds that refused to go off. We were a bit disappointed since we couldn't see the northern lights. However the experience of going there, being there and spending time there was quite memorable. We liked the hospitality of the staff.
