Great guide and an amazing experience. They let us use a dry suit and it kept us relatively warm even in about -8 c. We got the chance to break through some sheets of ice with the kayaks and he offered coffee tea and cookies during a quick break on an island. 10/10 would recommend even in the middle of the cold season. The guide also frequently took photos to share with us afterward.

One of the most memorable sunsets of my life! Kayaking with Northern Explorer AS was such a unique experience—not your usual kayak, but one with a steering rudder that makes controlling the direction so smooth and easy. We started around 19:00 and paddled until the sun finally set close to 22:00. Honestly, it didn’t even feel like 3 hours on the water because it was so much fun. The guide was fantastic—super friendly, helpful, and made the whole trip enjoyable for everyone. The best part was when the entire group sat in silence, completely mesmerized, watching the calm sunset paint the sky. It was such a breathtaking moment that none of us wanted to speak—we were all just lost in the beauty of it. This is more than just kayaking—it’s an unforgettable experience I’ll treasure forever.
