From a distance the hotel doesn't look very special but once we arrived in our room, I was very surprised. We stayed in the newer wing of the hotel. The room was modern and nicely furnished. The dinner at the restaurant was also delicious. Highly recommend the beef tartare. The flavours were amazing and had wonderful texture. The hotel staff were all super friendly and helpful.

This hotel is beautiful. The area it's in is also beautiful. The view from our room was great, although I doubt there's a bad view from any room. The room was comfortable. It was a great bed, super comfortable. The rooms are very minimalist. They could use a folding luggage rack and maybe a shelf in the bathroom. They are beautiful. It just seems like the design was more important than the function of the room. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The restaurant was excellent. Everything we ate was incredible. There was a beet salad that was amazing. It had some freeze dried beet in it that was mind blowing. The Cod was excellent and the side of fennel apple salad was the best. It had some mashed potatoes that were good, but didn't really need to be there. The weakest thing was the dessert. A brownie with coffee cream and vanilla ice cream. It was also great, just not quite as great as everything else. The service was exceptional. The staff went above and beyond. The coffee in the morning was also very good. And it came with these little chocolate squares that were outstanding. Just plain dark chocolate, but, WOW! I would definitely stay here again.

My friend and I had an absolutely lovely three night stay at Hotel Budir. We got a family room in the new wing; it was perfect for us because we had our own rooms and were also able to open the door between our rooms when we wanted to. We loved the hotels various spaces and felt comfortable everywhere. The bar, lounge areas, and dining room were all great and everyone we interacted with was amazing. We came to celebrate a birthday and see the Northern Lights and we were fortunate to have incredible food for dinner and breakfast AND see the Aurora (attached photo from our balcony).
