Overall, a great and unique experience. The price was worth the four hour total travel plus activity. The guy who drove us to and from the exact location was very nice and friendly. He was the boat guide as well. Great atmosphere and nice mountain views during the drive. Hot chocolate and coffee was provided on the boat and those lovely sweet biscuits were scrumptious. Lovely addition to the experience. Not too crowdy, everyone had the chance to spot the young whales. Best for those who have time in their itinerary since it eats up at least half of your day. Totally worth though.

The tour was fantastic. Comfortable, educational, and spent a lot of time with this playful humpback whale. Whale watching in Akureyri is magical!

Very well organised tour. A comfortable coach takes you (in about 20 min) to the beautiful boat where you are given waterproof suits (warm and surprisingly comfortable). Then the boat travels to the open sea where you can spot some dolphins and - of course - whales! There is a large group of whales swimming around so it is very easy to spot them and the crew makes sure everyone is happy (we stayed out there for good 30 min and saw numerous whales). The crew is super friendly and helpful. It is an amazing experience and worth every penny (or króna 😉). Highly recommended!
