Wilderness Hotel Saariselkä

We spent 4 more than amazing days at the WHS and I confidently recommend it to anyone who is planning to go to Lapland. The hotel is brand new but everything was up to speed: from the room set-up to the service and the food. We bought a package that includes full board and activities and from the moment we stepped our foot at Ivalo airport everything was just taken care for us and perfectly organized. There was nothing that was left unplanned, from the activity schedule to the dinner time. We loved every minute. Activities were a lot of fun and handled perfectly by their guides. I particularly recommend the huskies safari and the snowmobile adventure. Food was very good, even if full board was probably unnecessary. We were very lucky and saw the aurora 3 nights over 4 - two of them directly from the room! We also spent New Year Eve here and they organized quite impressive fireworks! What can I say, thank you for this amazing stay, we will definitely come back!

Absolutely amazing hotel! The Villa was stunning from big windows to the forest all the way to the smallest details. Beautiful and comfortable, with a feeling of complete luxury. I loved the Rituals cosmetics in the room. I've visited almost all Wilderness Hotels and this one is on a different level atleast when it comes to the Arctic Sky Villa. Plus great staff too!!!

Fabulous relaxing time in Saariselkä. Would highly recommend. We first saw Wilderness Hotels on the BBC “Amazing Hotels” programme. We stayed and the Saariselkä hotel on the Highlights of Lapland package. The activities were run by attentive, knowledgeable and professional guides and they really were fabulous: snowshoeing, snowmobiling, husky sledding and seeing the Aurora out in the woods. The hotel has a welcoming and friendly atmosphere with everyone being willing to stop and chat and make sure that our visit was going well. The food is superb (with good vegetarian options). The rooms are very cosy and excellently appointed.
