Well… what can we say? This trip was without a doubt the most memorable and best-guided experience we’ve ever had. The surroundings, the silence, the untouched nature, absolutely breathtaking. An intense and authentic experience, guided by a highly skilled fisherman with a true love for his craft and a wonderfully relaxed, cheerful personality. From hauling in the fishing nets together, drilling holes in the ice and catching fish ourselves, to enjoying a delicious grill on the lake, and catching so many fish along the way. And as if it couldn’t get any better, we even encountered a reindeer along the way. The experience, the peace, the beauty, the guidance, the food… everything was simply outstanding. Don’t hesitate. Just do it.

Jarmo is really nice & this is definitely a fun activity!!! Jarmo will set up all essential tools for you to try ice fishing!! And we can have the fish at spot! Also we brought drones, Jarmo welcomes us to have fun & enjoy the nature! Thanks jarmo!

If you want to experience traditional Sámi ice fishing in Inari, go with Jarmo! We had such a fun time on the lake, learning lots about the different fishing techniques, the nature and fish in the area, and also the Sámi culture and traditions. We particularly loved warming up by the open fire and eating our freshly-caught fish. We can highly recommend this experience!
