Beautiful Park - definitely a must see in Iqaluit You can hike all along the trail that runs along the river, go fishing, watch the waterfall and see the berries growing all over the hills in the summer months.

For a reasonable fee, Parks Nunavut will rent it out for a morning, afternoon, or the entire day. Powered by a generator, it's good to get there an hour before to turn on the oil space heater and let the place warm up. Kept clean and stocked with wood, it also has a wood stove and an outdoors firepit.

I went to a 'Learn to' session that was very interesting. It was held inside the Pavillion with an elder who told stories about Inuit legends. They also served tea and cookies. I learned a lot about the history and culture of the Nunavut communities from this session and would recommend to anyone wanting to learn about the region.
